InstantPlay app scope and device limits for adults

A client is a container for tables, history, and any limits InstantPlay actually ships. It is not a personality.

What a client is for, and what it is not

The InstantPlay app, if you install it at all, should do three jobs: show a table with a readable format chip, show a history you can audit, and show limits if InstantPlay built them. Anything else is decoration. Decoration does not justify contacts permission.

A web seat may already do the first job. Returning players who only want a Points table do not owe InstantPlay a client. The download route exists for people who still want one. This route exists so they know what the client is supposed to be for.

History matters because arguments about last night's declare die when a list exists. If InstantPlay's client hides history behind a maze, that is a usability fail for the ledger, not a vibe.

Limits belong in the client if they exist. A session clock that can be set before the first hand is a real object. A banner that says play safe is not. This desk has not seen InstantPlay's clock. Paper remains the backup.

Device limits: shared phones, children, and unlocked screens. InstantPlay does not belong on a child's first page of icons. Camera stays off until KYC. Notifications are optional and often hostile to a cap.

If the client and the web hop disagree about a rule, quote both. Do not average them. Averaging is how house sheets become folklore.

Next action is either the download path or the hop, not both at once. Pick a container. Switching containers mid-session is how people lose the format chip they just read.

A client is a box. Audit the box before you keep it.

Take three screenshots on the first evening: the format chip, the history list if it exists, and any limit control if it exists. If you cannot take the second or third, you have learned something InstantPlay's lobby art will not tell you. Keep the screenshots dated. They are the only review evidence this desk will later trust.

Permissions deserve a second evening. Open the system sheet. If InstantPlay asked for contacts, that is a story about InstantPlay, not about rummy. Revoke. Tables do not dial your aunt.

Notifications are how a quiet cap gets poked. If you came from the session-limit note, you already know this. Turn them off until you can name a reason that is not 'so I do not miss a seat'. Missing a seat is a successful cap.

iOS and Android stores are different doors. Use the door you actually have. This desk will not invent a build that appeared on a blog. If your country has no listing, that is a finding. Use the web hop or sit out.

History that cannot be exported is a weaker box. When a declare is disputed, memory loses. If InstantPlay hides history, write the hands you care about on paper for a week. Paper is a client feature InstantPlay does not control.

Uninstall is allowed to be boring. If the box failed the three-screenshot test, remove it. The download route will still be there tomorrow. Fear of missing a lobby colour is not a reason to keep a leaky box.

Shared tablets need a separate adult profile. InstantPlay on a child's profile is a session-limit failure even if the child cannot read the chip. Hide first. Explain later if you must. Hide first.

Three screenshots as a private review

Chip. History. Limits. If the second is a maze and the third is a banner, you have a usability fact the ledger can use later. Date the shots. Undated shots become folklore.

Notifications poke caps. Storage pokes albums. Contacts poke aunts. Revoke first, ask InstantPlay to explain later. Later may never come. Revoke still stands.

Uninstall is a complete action. Fear of a new lobby colour is not a reason to keep a leaky box. The download path will still exist. So will the hop. So will paper.

Shared tablets need adult profiles. InstantPlay on a child's page is a session failure even when the child cannot read. Hide first.

When a client is extra furniture

If the web hop already shows a format chip, the client is furniture. Furniture can be nice. Furniture is not mandatory. Adults who keep furniture they do not audit collect permissions they do not need. Audit or uninstall. Those are the two adult moves.

Three dated screenshots still beat a memory of a pretty lobby. Memory is how InstantPlay art replaces InstantPlay rules.
